Assertiveness and Self Care
Many, many people gradually discover, in adult life, that they are habitually self-sacrificing in relationships. They are the “Knights in shining armour,” or the “Women who love too much.”
In this eight-week evening class participants explore the meaning of self-care, coming to understand the spectrum from self-abuse or neglect to self-care and find the self-awareness to see where they stand.
In a safe space participants then learn the assertiveness skills necessary to self-care in relationship and start to develop the self-esteem which is on the other side of the coin from self-care.
